A few weeks ago, we were contacted by our friend Cassie, who Caitlin has known since braces and B team basketball days, about making some aprons. Cassie just so happens to be a badass chef. She and her partner Vernon recently opened a killer food truck called My Sweet Basil, in Albuquerque, NM. Cassie and Vernon needed some fresh aprons to wear while serving up delicious grub in their truck.
Aprons were a new to us, but we were excited by the challenge, especially after hearing what Cassie and Vernon were looking for design-wise. They wanted unique, modern, gender-neutral aprons with an industrial feel to them. Lauren got busy designing and came up with a really cool spin on a classic chef apron.
Our SoSo aprons are made from 100% cotton canvas, have a double stitch reinforcement, really cute/functioning pockets, and an adjustable neck strap with an overall buckle on one side. They are machine washable and guaranteed to last. All our aprons are completely customizable since they are handmade after an order is placed.
We had a lot of fun while making these aprons and we're thrilled Cassie and Vernon love them. And they sure do know how to rock them! If you're interested in your own professional chef apron, shoot us an email. And be sure to check out My Sweet Basil if you're in Albuquerque. You can find them on Facebook and Instagram too :)
